Single Mom Millionaire

From Survival Mode to Financial Freedom

It’s been one week since the launch of my first book, Single Mom Millionaire.  So many have asked, “What made you want to write a book?  I had many reasons.  One was to be a voice for women in the finance world.  I love listening to business, finance and personal development books in the car on Audible.  I found myself getting bored listening to them because they were repetitive and lacked a spark.  One book even put me to sleep.  I had to stop listening to it in the car.  I played it when I couldn’t sleep one night and it worked like a charm.

The few I’ve listened to written by women were engaging and spoke to me.  I felt understood.  The struggles of being a woman and mother are different from those of men.  There is a shortage of books in these genres written by women!

I knew I would write a book someday.  Someday came a lot sooner than I anticipated.  After quitting my job and moving back to the U.S., I thought, “Why not now?”  I had been following a writing coach, Mirav Tarkka, on facebook who had just announced that she was hosting a 6 week writing challenge so I decided to join.  I finished most of the book in those six weeks.  I had rehearsed it in my head many times over.

I wrote this book with a younger me in mind.  I looked back on all of the mindset work and healing I had to do to get to where I am now.  I asked myself these questions:

  • How did I have the confidence to just start?

  • How did I stop viewing myself as a victim and start viewing myself as a survivor?

  • What are things I learned along the way that I wish I had known sooner?

I love learning the woo-woo stuff.  For anyone wondering, woo-woo is a word used to describe unconventional beliefs, often spiritual.  The woo can only do so much for you though.  I needed substance, and technical advice as well- Someone to provide a guide or a checklist of tasks to do.  Success is about fulfilling spiritual learning and action.  Without action, there will be no results.  At the end of the day you just have to start!

Single Mom Millionaire is now a number one bestseller in 5 countries! I am overjoyed by the amount of support and positive feedback I have received.  The mission with this book is to fulfill the promise I made the day I left my abusive marriage.  I made the promise that “When I am back on my feet, I will help other women who think they can’t leave because they can’t support themselves.”  I also wanted this book to resonate with women who aren’t coming from abusive relationships.  It is a success story for all women to be inspired by.

If you know anyone who could benefit from this book, please share it.  If you read it and found value in it, I would appreciate a kind review on Amazon 😀
